Hey there, I am Ophelie, the creator behind The Aerialist’s Starter Toolkit.


I competed in gymnastics as early as the age of 6 and travelled with the circus since

I was 8 years old with coaches from Moscow State Circus and Cirque du Soleil.


Unfortunately, life served me with several challenges and needed five extensive corrective surgeries on my legs. I also live with degenerative spine disease, hypermobility, and a form of dysplasia on my knee.


When I started training aerial again in 2013/2014 after a (very) long break, I could not afford a coach or a space to train. I had no support and did not know what to do to put me back in a fit state to do aerial. I grew frustrated with the time it was taking me.


When I qualified as a coach in 2015, I figured out how to train myself in a way that was sustainable, would prevent injuries, and create fast and visible progress.


Fast forward to this day, I now have over 15 qualifications in fitness, aerial,

and holistic training, and became a movement specialist.

I focus on rehabilitation, mobility, flexibility, and performance optimisation.


I have also been an aerial coach since early 2017 and have been performing all around the world as an aerialist in various events and shows. Aerial Hoop is my apparatus of choice, due to my extensive training in trapeze in my younger years.

1- How will I know that it is working?


By seeing the progressive overload implemented in your strategy planning at the beginning of the programme.



2- How long are the workouts?


Each conditioning workouts are between 10-20 min, and flexibility practice between 5-15min.



3- How many times do I need to practice to see progress?


It will depend on your goals, current assessment, and current routine. At the beginning of the programme we will establish together how many times you want to implement your practice. Generally, it will vary between 2 to 5 times per week, with some elements integrated within your aerial classes.


4- Do I need to already be doing aerial to do this programme?


Absolutely not! Everyone can actually benefit from this programme as it covers great foundations in conditioning and flexibility. It will also help your body get more familiar with this kind of training, should you start doing aerial training in the near future.



5- What if I am not sure of my techniques or do not understand all of the exercises?


Ophelie will send you a weekly personalised feedback based on your questions, respond to a weekly Q&A and you will access the community where you can interact with other members of the programme.



6- Is it safe to do if you are injured or hypermobile?


First, it is important to ensure that you are signed off all ok to be doing any form of exercise. Ask your physician if you are unsure. Due to the nature of not having 1:1 interaction, it is not possible to establish the level of safety. If you are hypermobile, this programme can help as long as you are aware of your movements when performing the stretches.
